Should breaking be intertwined with growth?

One time, I asked God, "Should breaking be intertwined with growth?" Then, He showed me a rock. I witnessed how a big rock broke into smaller pieces called weathering. I asked again, "Can't we just let the big rock be?" For so long, only a deafening silence filled the place. Today, I guess I found the answer. Maybe, just maybe, parts of the rock are meant to be somewhere. Maybe they are not destined to stay all in one place. Just like in life, I realize that may be there's breaking because there are fragments of us that need to go somewhere. Remnants that are dreaming of better place, not just on the side of the road where feet are stepping on them freely. Maybe some of them want to be a decor in the garden, or a shiny sand along the shore. Maybe there's constant breaking so that we are able to realize where the smallest and biggest parts of us want to go. Maybe life isn't meant to be whole but to embrace how broken it is.
